Lighting Of The Tree
Friday November 30th 5:30pm
The magical glow of the evenings festivities begins with the twinkling of hundreds of lights on the Tree of Spirit. With a flip of a switch, a special guest will put the razzle dazzle into this majestic tree. After the lighting ceremony, follow the elves to City Hall to begin the light parade or venture Downtown Martinez for an evening of fun.

The Brentwood Advisory Neighborhood Committee hosts its annual tree lighting ceremony. Please join the BANC committee as they serve hot chocolate and candy canes. Listen to carolers sing joyous holiday tunes. There will be a special appearance by Santa. Festivities begin at 6:30pm and Tree Lighting at 7:00pm All are invited to attend this annual free event.

Mayor Mark Peterson invites Concord families to join him for a free Sports Sampler at Concord's Community Youth Center. This is the final of four free "No Child Left Inside" activities led by Peterson in 2007 aimed at improving the health and fitness of Concord's children. At the event, youngsters will be able to explore the many individual sports and fitness opportunities that the CYC offers.
