The derby is held in memory of Uril "Compy" Compomizzo who started the "Get Kids Hooked on Fishing, not drugs or gangs" fishing programs in our local schools and surrounding communities. Last years event hosted over 400 boys and girls. The event brings parents, grandparents and guardians closer to their kids.
